haa, only royal purple stuff we got is coolant enhancer and 80w90 gear oil suuuuch a big selection.

Its alot better than when I pulled it so wd-40 will do.

 

Since you did the MAF and IAC... did ya happen to also do the TPS?...

didn't yet.. I'm still having trouble starting but not as bad. Its currently 29 degrees outside & she still cranks a bit long. Tomorrow is going to be the real test when I let it sit overnight. Then she'll get real chilly.

 

I was having the exact same issues you were having I kept cleaning the IAC and maf, I bought a new maf for nothing. Realized my IAC was sticking really bad and bite the bullet and paid $60 for a new IAC (Dont buy from ebay) Holy crap diod it wake my car up, Quick acceleration But unhook your negative battery before doing it, Static kills anything electrical just like home computers. P.S I wasnt getting any codes either. Everyone kept telling me MAF Sensor or 02 Sensors.

 

When starting after sitting overnight is the engine slow turning over or does it turn over as normal but just takes longer to fire?

 

it turns over normal just takes longer to fire. & when it begins to fire it sounds like its bogging out. I'll record it later on video so you all see whats happening.

 

You may want to do a fuel pressure test to rule out a bad regulator or pump. Pressure needs to be checked prior to the fuel filter and again at the schrader valve on the regulator. There should be very little (if any) difference in the pressure reading at both locations.

 

I think the IAC valve was it. Last night after sitting for a good 24 hours she had the BEST startup I've seen.

It slightly hesitated but the startup was quicker than ever & no more idle jumping. I'm not ruling out the fuel pressure regulator just yet. I might as well change it. It did have the original fuel filter until I got the car, so I can imagine what gunk is stuck on the FPR screen & on the inside. Going to change it when I give a tuneup

 

Just pop the vacuum line off the FPR and smell it. If it smells like fuel, or has fuel in it, then the FPR is going bad

I'm surprised I can get it cheaper at work, Rockauto sells it $30 more.
