Starter removal
 

I have a 1985 SS. The starter is completely disconnected, but I am having a heck of a time trying to get it out. I tilted it vertically as the manual says, but it still doesn't want to seem to clear the exhaust pipe.:mad:

Any suggestions?

Block of wood jack on oil pan even as far as removing mount bolt
