Im new to this forum and site all together and thought that you guys could help me.

Well I have a 95 monte carlo.. just got it with 190,000 miles on it. Just put new plugs in, new battery, starter, exhaust managold, and cat.

my issue is when the car is warm and i turn it off and go to restart it, it will not start, it cranks and cranks, or it cranks and starts and stalls, bogs down losses power and will not start again, until it is cold. no engine light on at all. even when this happens, one of my friends said it might be a sensor. but im not sure what one or where to go to even get the codes read when it is an obd1. Please help has anyone else had this problem. it also seems to be a little hesitant when gasing it.

Sounds like a fuel pump issue. Fuel pump gives out when hot, then cools down and starts again. When hot follow the fuel rail on the injectors, there is a little nipple to test fuel pressure. Press the little valve inside, fuel should come out. Most people would not consider this safe cause you and/or engine compartment will be exposed to gasoline. blah... blah... blah...

 

The fuel pump would cause it also .to run rich...? I have no clue this has just stumped me. So I took it to a shop this morning where they have the large 40,000 scanner tool so I should know soon just praying its not gonna be costly
