Default SS was stolen

Long story short, my home was burglarized yesterday. After some random ransacking, all they took was my Tag watch and then drove the SS out of the garage. Car was found within 2 hours of being reported stolen. It's back in my garage with no damage..........EXCEPT they tried to steal the onstar box behind the rear wheel in the trunk. That I can rewire myself. But they also cut all the wires (and rather neatly I must say) to a box mounted under the rear panel between the speakers in the cargo tray. Is this part of the on star or the audio system? The radio doesn't btw.

Thanks guys.

That box mounted under there is the amp for the speakers, that would explain why it's not working, they should be color matched for the most part if you're looking to rewire it, or i can take pictures of my complete harness if you need it

They werent trying to steal it, Onstar can track a stolen car, so if they could get out the box, they couldn't be traced.

You don't need to remove onstar box just unplug it at box, I unpluged mine and onstar mailed me a letter saying they are unable to locate my car, They said I needed to take car to dealer ..

Glad to hear you got it back. If you do not pay for your onstar does it still track it?

Maybe they didnt want to take any chances?

And I think you can start a subscription if your car get stolen and they'll track it for you.
