Default SS emblem in grille of 7th gen SS

Has anybody taken out the bowtie in the grille and put in an SS emblem? I'm kind of interested in doing it and need some opinions, Thanks!!

question I myself wanted to ask, I've seen the "SS" on the grills of some of your rides and I think it just looks ...right. How did you do that?

Yes you can do it
Take some fishing line and slide it behind the bowtie and gently pull it from side to side and down, should slide through and pop off.
Then get a SS emblem and some 3m double sided tape and stick her on!

The SS emblem is the same SS emblem that is on the door you can get them on e-bay

Took me 10 minutes to put mine on. You want to make sure that where the bow tie was is CLEAN. I cleaned with rubbing alcohol

One of the first things I did. Use the fishing line method and there is a plastic tab you have to cutoff behind the bow tie... Clean it with alcohol really good and stick the ss. Looks much better

Nor sure I understand. Do you mean you trimmed down the mount on the grill where the bow tie used to be (Sorta like the pedestal where the bow tie was mounted to?)

I had thought of that but was worried I'd mess up my grille

Yeah that might be it. It's like a little notch in the grill so the factory workers can't put it on crooked haha
