Speedometer has lost it's marbles...
I have a 2005 Monte Carlo LS, about 35k miles. The speedometer is off between 40 - 60 mph, I can't get it to reset to 0. Anyone have any ideas as to what I can do to fix this??? Please help...Thanks

When you first turn on the car and it starts between 40-60 it needs to be reset. The only way I have found to do this is turn the iginition from off to acc. Let the gauges reset. Turn it back off and back to acc. You will notice it goes down a bit - like 5 mph. Just keep doing this till it goes to zero.
I had this problem myself. It has recropped back up but with the oil pressure gauge. The correct fix is to replace the gauge cluster but I've done that once already under warantte and I'm not anxious to drop $400 down on a new cluster.

The speed that it's off varies...even when I turn the car off it just stays where it was. Like this morning when I turned the car off, it still said I was doing about 180 mph...
Turning to the ACC did work for a while in making it reset, after about 10 tries. Now that doesn't even work...
Thanks for your help!!!!

I think the "thanks for your help!!" comment was a subtle way to call me a jerk or something. He just didn't understand the thing wasn't working as it was and I gave a possible fix that ended up breaking it. So it went from useless to more useless?
