Default shudder on 1-2 shift?

Alright I have been feeling a shudder when the tranny shifts from 1-2, only under light to moderate acceleration. When I get on the gas the tranny shudder seems to go away. Every other shift; 2-3 3-4 are smooth and there is no shudder at all. What gives, is this how our trannys were designed?

I know that putting in a shift kit usually does not solve tranny issues, but in this case what do you guys think? Would a shift kit eliminate the shudder or would it make it even worse?

Mine has been doing this on occasion as well. It does not seem to happen all the time but I do notice it more under load.

I wonder if this will have a negative effect on its longevity. If it’s in the clutch pack as it looks by the great information supplied by NYCRISS I would think that the sift kit would be a long shot, but worth a try.

I will play around with my Hypertech over the next couple of weeks adjusting the line pressure to see if it helps any.

By the looks of GM's stock and market performance numbers for the first half I would say many have already made a statement regarding GM's product line.
