Ok I need some help. I have a 86 mercury capri 5.0. It was my first car, but I'm a chevy guy and the first gen montes are one of my favorite cars. The problem I have is I've grown kind of attached to the capri and there's only like 3,800 of them made so i probably won't find one again. I don't have room for the cars i already have and a new car. I just want to know am i gonna regret selling for a monte. The montes look awesome and have a lot more resto parts available, but I just need to know what you guys would do. Sorry it's a stupid problem but the help would be appreciated

I have a 7th gen Monte Carlo so it is way different than a 1st gen. But I love the body style of any Monte Carlo, they all look good. But this is not my favorite car in the world. When I get this car payed off I will probably trade it in or sell it so I can get a Challenger which is probably my favorite car that isn't something that costs more then $100,000. It's all a matter of personal preference. Do I love my Monte? Yea, it has a really nice body and is not a car you see every day, I also love the power of having the 5.3L. My first car was a 4.6L V8 Ford Thunderbird, so jumping up from like 205HP to just over 300HP was really nice. However a downside to my car is that it is also front wheel drive which I don't really care for. It's a really nice daily driver for me but it's not something I want to hold on to the rest of my life. But again it is all a matter of opinion. If you are attached to your car, you may regret selling it. But you may not, you can always grow into another car. Who knows I may become more attached to my Monte as time goes on.

idk, the 6th generation monte is a car i always wanted since i was 15, that was the first time i rode in a monte, but i would hold on to this car forever and pass it along. My opinion is go for the car you are most passionate about

Truthfully you would probably kick yourself for selling your first car and first car love. I would hold on to it until you are in a better position to have 2 cars

Thanks you guys your answers were great. I probably would hate myself for selling the capri, I guess I have to learn patience.

These are the reasons that I refuse to let go of the Monte haha.

Everyone thinks I'm crazy, 2 Camaros and I baby a fwd Monte. But this was my first car love, the car that got me into cars. I know I would kick myself if I ever let it go.
