4th Gen ('81-'88): Seat reclined too far, did I bend the floor pan?

Seat reclined too far, did I bend the floor pan?
Hey guys,
Looking for some information here, I am always good for weird problems.
Years ago I got rear ended and the seats have never been right since.
I have gone though instructions for moving the seatback to the most forward position, but I still have to reach to hold the steering wheel.
I have removed the seat and when it is placed on a level surface the seatback is almost vertical. But in the vehicle there is almost no way for someone to sit in the back seat.
Here is my question. Is it possible to have pulled the floor pan up where the seat studs are? By the front studs i have a fairly high hump.
TIA
Darren

When I pulled my seats out of my 84, there WAS a large hump where the front seat studs are. So I think that is normal. So your seat, while on a level surface, would be almost vertical.
It is always possible that the floor pan could have been pulled up during your accident.
