Scraping noise when I turn the wheels

When I turn the car, I hear a scraping noise that sounds like its coming from the front right-side wheel. When I'm driving on the road straight, I don't hear the noise. Any ideas on what this could be?

Thanks

Are you turning left to hear that noise?

Could be a wheel bearing / hub assembly starting to go bad.

Yes, I hear it when I turn left. I'm thinking that this is something that I could replace myself?

If it is the wheel hub / bearings:

Replace both front hub assemblies?

Thanks for the guide.

Should I replace both front hub assemblies? I hear the noise from the right side when I turn left.

If you only hear the noise when turning left then it's only the right assembly.

since your at it, you might want to just replace both

I would replace as needed, it's not like he'll have the other side of the car taken apart and it will be easier to do. He'll have to start from Step 1, so might as well wait for it to go bad (if it does) I've only replaced 2, one in the front and one in the rear. If I did both at a time, it would have cost me double and it hasn't even been a problem yet.
