Default Sagging rear end 2002 Monte

Hey guys/gals!

Ok so my Monte looks like I have ten dead bodies in the trunk it sits so low. I've replaced the coil springs but it's still no better. Anyone know why this is happening or has anyone else figured out how to fix it other then to shim the springs? Thanks a bunch. God I love the way this car works on the highways. SWEET.....

Since you instahled new springs...
Im guessing you need new struts as well!

Unless the new springs you said you were instahled are used.

Then I would recommend new struts and springs.

If new springs/struts didn't help you may want to have a look at the suspension bushings. If they are worn it can cause the vehicle to sit lower and/or uneven side to side. Do you have a subwoofer box in your trunk? That can cause sag also.

Ok thanks for the input. I did have the bushing replaced at the same time they put in the new springs. I've been told that the struts have nothing to do with how the car sits/sags. They looked at the struts and they seemed fine. did a bounce test they reacted as expected. My cousin, who is a GM Mechanic said he thinks I'd need to put in spring shims. No I don't have a boom box in the trunk I'm 50 sumtn, been there done that. lol Stock stereo is just fine.
