Default Reving up

I have a 97 Z34 and sometimes upon start up the engine revs up by it's self. I'm thinking it's the fuel pump all advice will be appreciated

Does it do it all the time or intermittantly? Could be a number of things. Vacuum leak or bad/dirty IAC valve would be the first thing I would look for. Try cleaning the IAC valve for a start.

That doesn't sound like a fuel pump issue to me. mrl390 has good advice.

Got a new tps sensor still getting the revving problem every time at start up now and there is small amounts of fuel being sent to the throttle body I thought just vapor/fumes go to the throttle body do you guys think it could be due to the purge flow being bad and mr l 390 I forgot your suggestion at the time but will make note to do so and one more thing some times she struggles to start up

You have another thread that you identified a faulty head gasket. Not sure if that is playing into your revving problem or not. But my train of thought is, take care of the head gasket that you know is bad. If you are close to needing new plugs/wires, do those while in the neighbor hood. During the process of changing the head gasket you can see inspect things like vacuum lines and such.
