Replacing Blower Motor Resistor in 04 Monte Carlo

Hey All,

Anyone know where the blower motor resistor is on my 04 Monte Carlo and how I can replace it? I already have the replacement part.

Darius,
I am in the same situation, unable to determine type of mounting screws (2ea) that mounts the resistor to the bracket. Unfortunately the location hinders type of screw i.e. star/hex etc

Darius Lovehall,

New update on Monte Carlo Fan Blower Misc issues:
First, my fan blower motor was burnt (could have created a fire) but did not.
Secondly, since the blower fan was burnt and could not turn the squirrel cage it also taken out the Resistor pack behind the blower fan motor.
And finally, it also taken out the 30 Amp under hood bottom fuse component. Total cost with my labor ~ $170 and a day.
