Remote fob doesnt work
The remote fob for my '06 Chevy Monte Carlo has completely stopped functioning. Thought it was a dead battery, replaced it, no joy. I get zero function. Doesnt set door locks, doesnt open the trunk, nothing.
When I attempt to go through the steps of relearning the remote, I get to the step where it says PRESS V TO RELEARN REMOTE KEY but it never progresses to the next step. If I press the the check mark button, it just blinks and displays the same message. It never goes to the next message of REMOTE KEY LEARNING ACTIVE.
Thats where I'm stuck at. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks

It's like the receiver antenna under the top dash. I just changed mine out, as mine would only work during the day when it was warm but not at night. Likely a contact issue, though an inspection of it didn't show any visually notable cracks. Replace it as it is plugs in and out, then use the relearn and you should be set.
I have a guide up I think for the top dash removal.
