OK...so I finally gave in and traded in my blue 03 Monte Carlo with 120,000milesfor an blue 06 Monte Carlo...

Is it possible to swap the rear trunk lids on these cars...my 03 has the nascar spoiler, and the 06 has the flat spoiler...I want my old spoiler back.

I know I cant swap spoilers because the hump on the trunk lid is smaller on my new one...so I want to swap the entire trunk lids...will the old trunk lid fit on my new car...

 

I do believe you can swap out the trunk, but I have a few questions...

1. I don;t believe that the blue is the same color from those years, so I'm going to assume that you will paint it. Wh not just get a 2006 nascar spoiler and be done with it? it might be cheaper to get the spoiler and paint that, then to paint the whole trunk lid.
2. the humpsare the same. Reason I say that is that the flat spoiler is the same as the 2000 - 2005 SS (or LT's depending on the year) and those that have those year monte's have swapped for the 2006 nascar spoiler because the bold holes line up for the spoiler. the problem that you have is that the spoiler that you have on the 03 will not cover up the bolt holes on the 2006. so you can either get the 2006 spoiler or one of these
