Opinion Needed: Rear Quarter window plastic clips

Rear Quarter window plastic clips
Have to cutout and replace a quarter window due to rusty trim (thanks GM).
There are 4 plastic clips that attach to the window. Are these used to push in and hold
the glass in place close as possible? Or what are they for?

Those clips indeed keep pulling the window closer to the frame. They have two different colors, gray and black. The gray ones
go on top and the bottom towards the b pillar. The black ones go to the corner towards the c-pillar.
