Will a rear bumper from a 2006+ directly fit a 2001 monte SS? I hate the rear bumper on the 2001 and love the 06 (with a mod) I want to buy one with the insert Benzel around the exhaust pipes. I need to swap them , but want to make sure they will fit, I have been told by a buddy it will NOT fit, then I read on the net it WILL fit. So I know that if anyone knows, it's all of you guys.. The owners!.. Thanks a ton... Michael...

If you need a answer right away, I'd call a Chevy Dealer's Body Shop & they should be able to give you an answer

I can't give you a direct answer but there is a guy riding around with an 06-07 front end and rear bumper on his 00-05 LS. I haven't been able to catch up with him to ask. But I can tell he made the swap.

 

Yes the rear swaps with no problem

 

Just need to swap the impact foam & itll fit

 

Thanks a ton.. I'm GONNA do that then. I have been working on a 6th gen rear cover and it just looked out dated comepaired to the 07 Monte. I want the one with the "cutout" near the bottom, that looks so no e and then custom that to give it a little hint of a rear Defusser, something like the new GTO has, then the rear of the Monte will look more up to date. I just don't like the waves on the rear cover... Thanks again, I'll post pics of the front and rear when I'm done.. Mjc....
