I have a 2.20 draw on my car,when I pulled the radio fuse it goes to .061..i did change my radio a while ago,but the car sat for a month + in my tent for the winter and never had a problem starting..this week 2 times the car would not start..only when I went to my Girlfriends house..mon and thurs morn it didn't start..what can I do about the radio drawing..doesn't make sense...

 

I unplugged the amp in the back and it went to 1.71..

 

saw my friend that works at my cousins GM dealership and he says its a bad radio..

 

Well I put another radio in the car and I get the same draw 2.2 Amps.. My original radio does the same thing what else could it be... If I pulled the amp plug out it drops to 1.75 amps

 

Since it all started at your girlfriends.. I'd stay away from her.
Just kidding of course.
I would start with checking all your body grounds..
it sounds like the system could be back feeding looking for a ground. Thus killing the battery.
If you did this installed yourself.. I would take it to an audio shop and get it fixed..

 

its a factory radio..I have 3 of them and they are all reading the same,so where would the grounds I have to check be?
