6th Gen ('00-'05): Radiator Isssues Again....
OK so I have heat per this thread: https://montecarloforum.com/forum/mo...trouble-51708/ I mean the heat is incredible in this thing so that is not an issue, BUT now for my issues: Nothing comes out of the bleeder valve when I unscrew it and I mean NOTHING, no air, no hissing, no bubbles, no coolant stream...nothing. Also my radiator cap is not under pressure now (not the overflow tank but the radiator). It was before doing the heater core flush. I bled the system through the bleeder valve after the heater core flush to make sure ALL the air was out and I got air maybe 3 times, but could never get the cap pressurized.
So why do I not have any coolant coming out of the bleeder valve and why is my radiator cap not pressurizing. When I say "not pressurizing" I mean it doesn't get "hot" like it did before. The radiator cap will stream out coolant if I open it after running it but it doesn't "spray" out like it should under pressure.
I don't believe I have a leak but I'm not sure. The "low coolant level" dash light keeps coming on even though when I look in the radiator (since I'm not sure its swapping with the overflow tank properly) its always full.
The temp gauge sits at about 175-180º? I have included a pic of where my temp gauge sits (the yellow line indicates where mine sites on a regular basis).
Things I have repaired/done in the last year:
1) New thermostat
2) New radiator cap
3) New upper radiator hose
4) Heater core flush
5) Bled system before/after heater core flush as I had an air in the system both times
Suggestions/thoughts?

As long as its not over heating.. and you have heat...
It sounds like your only real issue is a bad low coolant sensor.
Change the sensor. (Its on the passenger side of the radiator)
Are you getting any codes? (CEL)

I have heat...boy do I have heat. LOL. It will drive you out of the car on high no joke. I was just thinking it was strange though that the radiator cap doesn't get hot and the bleeder valve doesn't bleed any coolant.
Anyways I won't worry about it and I'll get a new sensor.
I would also consider possibly having the radiator cap tested... Or just purchase a new one? It may not be building up the proper Pressure?
When you look into the radiator... Can you see it flowing?

The gauge marking you indicated was normally where mine sat on my 03 SS .
The bleeder screw may be clogged, but long and it's got heat, and gauge is fine, like everyone else I'd change the low coolant sensor and let it eat if were mine.

Thanks guys....
One thing I have noticed is this stupid cap doesn't really "fit" in that it doesn't seem tight enough. Like when I unscrew it there used to be some pressure or tension for lack of a better word and this thing just unscrews real easy now. I also noticed its a 16 lb PSI instead of a 15 lb PSI. I think I'm going to order an AC/Delco and chuck this stupid Autozone one.

6th Gen ('00-'05): To Magnaflow (again) or not to Magnaflow (again), That is the question.
