Problems with Electrical! HELP ME!
I bought an 02 SS, and everytime the automatic lights come on at dark, the gauge lights, radio, compass, and temp control lights go so dim they almost look like they are off. It makes it impossible to drive after dark. It only does it at night when the automatic lights switch on. I turn the switch to ACC and the gauges light up fine, but when the car is turn to on, they slowly dim to nothing. . I have replaced the relay for that system and it didnt fix it. I dont know what to do. Someone Please HELP ME! Thanks in advance.

well, one way to figure it out would be try turning on the lights during the day, and then try turning them WAY down and then off at night. if it does all that, it probably isnt the switch (i wouldnt think)

ok, tried the switch this morning...still no dash lights, turned it to dim and bright and nothing! Tried it last night and when the dimmer switch was pulled the radio lights and ALL lights on dash were dark...nothing.
Now a odd thing is going on also that I noticed...when I pull the Dimmer switch on to turn the headlights on the rear defogger will go out ( after I have pushed it ) and the A/C will not illuminate but still works. Im really confused, I have an appt for it to be "looked" at in the morning, so now Im stuck not being able to drive it at night...any other suggestions?
Thanks in advance!

a flashlight taped to the steering column? :P
(I've done it.... )
Idk what that problem could be, sounds like it could be a few things, maybe it's best to have it properly diagnosed.
