Default Power Steering???

Haha.... its saturday night and I am supposed to go work on my buddies bike and i go to move my car and i get a "whine and moan," so i go to look at my fluids and my power steering is a little low. So i fill it to its specified level and move it back to the steet and right where my car was, is now a beautiful wet spot. it got too dark to really look at it any more. I'm going to look at it in the a.m. and get into it more. She has about 37,000 miles.... any one else have this prob?

I've never had that problem, but it's not unheard of. You probably have a hose that is defective, and will need to be replaced, but it might just be loose. Either way put some Lucas power steering additive in it when it goes back together.

yeah, actually it was loose..... all i had to do was pop it back on and bleed the system and she was all good again... i'm so happy too, that it was that cause no auto parts stores in the area had any power steering parts for it.... i'll try that lucas additive. but i'll have to keep an eye on her and make sure it doesnt happen again.

to keep the line from comming off you can use some thread lock (Locktite). I'm a aircraft hydraulic technician and we use thread lock on some of the lines. It will keep the line from vibrating loose.
