Default PASSENGERS SIDE FLOOR MAT WET

I have a 2000 Monte Carlo SS and when it rains my front passengers side floor mat get all soaked. I checked the seals around the door and they are in good condition. My heater hose aren't leaking either. Has anybody ever had this problem ? And how did you fix it ?

Might need to replace the weather stripping on that side.. or has the car been in an accident? Could try putting running water over the seals and such and look for any weeping.

It happens all the time when it rains. I read some where that it could be the seal around the windshield.

Okay, I'd actually like to know also, I thought mine was fine, A few months back one day when it was raining my passenger side mat was soaked, but it hasn't happened since that I've noticed.

However, Tonight when I was out working on the car, the floor is damp, and with no signs of it leaking anywhere.

check the seal under the cowl on the passenger side, water leaks past it, into the hvac air intake and comes out around the blower motor.

kk, I seen that in the other thread, But does it leak enough to make the floor fairly soaked?

in a extremly heavy night of rain, my car had over a quarter an inch of water on the passenger side in the morning, plus there is some thick carpet and padding there, probly takes half a gallon to soak it.

heres how to see, take a garden hose, or goto a car wash, and have someone soak the windshield, especially pass. side, then you lay inside and watch the blower motor till it starts drippin out around it.

What does the cowl and the hvac and intake look like and where are they located ? Pictures would be great if you have them. Also how did you fix the problem ?
