I have a problem with the passenger side airbag light on my 06 Monte. I started it up, and recieved the normal blinking on the dash, but the on/off light wouldnt switch to either on or off. I thought it could have been some of the things on my passenger side seat putting weight on it confusing the seat sensor, but it wasnt. So i am having a hard time understanding this when I dont have passengers in my car.

So im confused. What could this be? Bad seat sensor? Maybe the air temp outside messed something up?

PLEASE HELP....Ive had this car for a month and this is the first problem

 

The 1st thing I'd check is the connections under the seat. I believe the yellow connections are for the air bags. Maybe something got under the seat and pulled a connector? Anothe possibility is that the air bag control module is giving you problems. Hope for the 1st.

 

I did check the connector out, and everything was fine under the seat.

I dont even want to think about option 2, so Im goin with option 3.

I think I had a balance of weight on the seat with my lunch and laptop for work that was fooling the system, or I had an extra passenger with me in the bright early hours of the AM
