by-pass heater core
Hi all.Im new here.Ive been trolling the forums here and have gotten a massive amount of good info. Thanks so much for all the help so far.
I have a bad heater core,it fogs the windows so badly i cant see out them even after wiping off.I am going to fix the heater core once my weather gets a little better here, but until then i need to bypass it. my problem is,you cannot see behind the engine to follow the hoses.
So my question is this. Does anyone know where on the top of engine, side of engine, ect. just somewhere accessible that i can bypass the heater core without having a child with little hands do it.
In case you need the info i have 95 monte z34 3.4l dohc

I know the 2 hoses going into the firewall. I just finished a core on my 67 gto, however that was simple to see exactly where the hoses start and finish. What im hoping to find out if there is a easier access point where the hoses come around to the front maybe? Problem is i can even see the firewall where the go in 😱 ill tilt the motor if i have to,im just trying to delay doing the whole job for a bit.

That is about the easiest way around bypassing the heater core. Once engine is tilted(pulled) forward there's a lot more room. Big advantage doing it there is that a flush t will fit between the hose's without any issues.

Not sure about the 3.4, but on the 3800, the hoses come off the back of the front engine cover, so there aren't really any better places to do it.
Id definitely second unbolting the dog bones and rocking the engine, you should be able to get down there well enough to cut and splice.
