Besides carbon fiber im looking for a way to lighten my car. I was amazed to see it only weighs 3400 lbs, but Im looking for less. So spare tire i can remove, but what else can i remove or replace for cheap?

 

If you felt really ambitious you could find a fiberglass hood to replace the heavy steel one. The doors on these cars are HEAVY but you really cant do much about that. Really all you can do is gut the interior but even that probably wouldnt remove much weight.

 

Hood will come with time lol. Is there a way to remove the back seats that fold down, like just take them out, and then be able to put em back it?

 

yes its easy to remove them .realy easy .toke me about 10 minutes to take mine out .........

fold the seats down and remove for bolts..........easy in easy out

the bench is realy light ...just foam .the back is alittle heavyer but nothing that one person cant carry.....one front seat is heavyer then the whole back

 

Someone gave me the idea of racing seats. I mean with the heated power seats in there, they have to weigh a ton. Anyone know how much they weigh?

 

im just guessing but when i changed my beige seats to black seats the fron ones i would say 40 to 50 lbs...giver or take EACH lol
i picked them up and bought them to the basement and it was a pain in the back lol..........

 

I think id only get the driver seat as a racing seat and just leave no passenger seat if i wanted to ever race it. Then would come engine mods lol.
