p0741 code
Today my car started making a pretty loud buzzing/whooshing noise and im getting a p0741 code which is torque converter circuit stuck off.
At highway speeds it seems to stop, but idle it starts pretty bad and if I press the gas quickly OR if the engine is running fast.
Anyone with experience with this? Opinions>>>??
Thanks.

I think you mean the TCC solenoid is stuck off. First check you trnas fluid level, but you may have a failing TCC solenoid, a fairly common problem with the 4T65E transmission. Fortunately the solenoid can be replaced by removing the transmission side cover to access it. I would replace all the solenoids while you're in there since they're fairly cheap, about $25 each.

If the transmission has high mileage (140K+) you might consider replacing the transmission.

I have to ask tho, could this normally cause any noises? Like grinding or buzzing...
Id compare the noise to a very loud supercharger mixed with a very loud whoosing sound. The whoosing sound also sounds like a shovel on pavement..
What damage could occur also from driving it? I dont plan to drive it more than I absolutely have to but what can happen?

A bad TCC solenoid usually causes a bad shuddering and vibration under the hood and studdering upon take of from a start as if you let out the clutch too fast on a manual transmission. That's why I suggest checking the transmission fluid first which can cause a "whooshing" noise when low. I wouldn't recommend diving the car in that condition.
