2001 ss 3800 oil in water , possible causes ?

Common occurance on the 3800... GM's fault poor design using plastic upper and lower intake manifold gasket sets...

Quick fix...
Replace upper and lower intake gaskets( with aluminum) followed by aluminum elbows...

Problem solved forever...
any further issues/problems..
