Default Odometer and radio lights go out.

My odometer and radio lights go out when my head lights come on. Has anyone seen this before? Thanks

That's not good. Hopefully you get it figured out though, good luck and let us know what it turns out to be.

First thought is to make sure the dimmer switch isn't turned all the way down.

Second is to probably have to replace the switch if that doesn't work.

agreed with chibi here, i think there is probably a problem with the switch itself.

The lights in the instrument cluster work fine. I can adjust them any way I want. The problem is the odometer and radio lights are so dim I can hardly see them. This only happens when I turn on the head lights. During the day they work fine.

had the same issue not too long ago. Ended up being a fuse. We're you doing any work behing the dash? Alot of circuits related to the odometer and radio. Make sure your DRL's, dashboard light sensor, taillights all work correctly.

I just bought the car so anything is possible. Both the odometer and radio lights work ok during the day. It only happens when I turn on the head lights. The lights work but are real dim. Everything else seems to be ok. What fuse did you replace and where was it?

Did you rotate the dimmer switch to make sure the dimmer isn't just turned down??

During the day you can't dim anything. When the lights go on you can dim them. I run it about 50% because it's just too bright for me.

The dimmer switch works fine. The dash lights go dim and bright like they're supposed to. I's just the odometer and radio numbers.

What fuse ended up being the problem?
