Default No power steering, need help!!

I have a 2000 Monte Carlo LS with only 39,000 miles on it. The other day I backed out of my driveway and then tried to go foward and I had no power steering. It has fluid, its not leaking, and the belts are good. Can anyone help???

was this only one time or has it never came back? My previous car had a problem with the power steering intermittently not working but only when the fluid was cold, the rack and pinion ( more specifically the rack )was the prob.

That was Saturday night and I still have no power steering. It does it cold or warm. I had a couple people say it could be power steering is bad or the rack and pinion.

check the pump or rack. with that low of millege on it i would think tha tit is most likely the pump screwing up. racks are normally good longer then this. \
but you can take it to a alliment shop also and they should be abel to tell you if it is the rack or not.
