Default no heat

Hello everyone, I have a 03 monte ss. And I have no heat. At first I thought it would be timing belt/water pump thing.. but I have no water in the passenger side. I then thought it was my coolant. I took it in yesterday to have it flushed cause I knew it needed it anyway. they said that there was so much rust that they will probably have to flush it again in a few weeks. Anyway.. still no heat. I havent had heat for over 2 years now, but since I am going to be up north this winter I will for sure going to need to use it. I cant seem to locate the heater core nor any fuses. Does the heater have a separate fuse? the fan goes on, and I get air coming out, just not hot or warm air.
thanks for your help!

My best guess?

Thermostat...

Maybe stuck open!
Try pulling it out....
Boil it on the stove...and see if it opens?

If not......Put a new thermostat in it...

I also noted..
During the flush it was mentioned...
That the system was very rusty...
Did you have the heater on during the flush?
If not...then it didnt get a thorough cleaning.

Possibly a plugged heater core???

My guess is your also haveing cooling issues?
What temp is it running at? cold/hot?
Maybe temp controls are inoperable..electrically or vacuum???

What state do you live in?

I live in virginia, I had it flushed at pep boys, no clue if they ran the heater or not. Im thinking it is a clogged heater core myself. temp of the air? if thats what you mean, then cool air. temp of my engine, normal.. and yes I am having cooling issues too as a matter of fact.

What i meant by temp issues...
is the motor running hot? overheating etc....

I would take it to a reputable shop and have it checked out...

Check that they properly bled your system of air, our cars are very difficult to get all of the air out.

Heater core is a PITA to get to, but it's on the pass side under the dash

Could also be a bad temp door actuator

I agree with chibi, bleeding all the air out of the system is important. On my old van when I had a lower intake leak I had no heat because of air in the system.
