Hi im new to forum and to my monte aswell!

I am not familiar with muscle cars but lately im very deep into it and i want to learn more about them. So i bough a 83 Monte Carlo CL base model, paint it myself metallic bright red and white(my theme colors) remove the whole dash board and paint it white. I love to drive my mc everyday if i could but i find im missing some horse power, with only 140hp and about 245lb aint enough imo... the previous owner said he swapped with a 350 but i didnt believe him im sure its a 305 4bbrl carb (not sure if it fuel injection). My goal is to reach at least 275HP. so far my upgrade are 13" chrome air filter, magnaflow cat converter and exhaust with dual exit, 13" camaro rims... ok that aint upgrading but make me feel like i got 50+ hp :P Now my friend scrapped his 85 camaro 305 sbc i was wondering would it be a boost on HP if i take his ECU and chip and put it in mine? Is that a good or bad idea if so what other upgrades can I do to get more HP.

Welcome to the site. Post some pics when you can. also I didn't know Camaro's ever came with 13'' rims.
