6th Gen ('00-'05): Need diagram of transmission line routing, 3.8 l.
I don't have a pic, but I can describe it. The fitting out of the transmission pointing straight down is the hot fluid / pressurized output. It goes to the bottom of the cooler.
The top line from the cooler is the cooled fluid coming back to the transmission. It goes back into the horizontal fitting on the transmisison closer to the pan.

Bumping,
Thx for the info.
I am trying to flush the trans by disconnecting the output line from the trans
and directing it into a five gallon pail. By running the engine and pumping fluid out and adding fluid until the output has clean fluid means all the old fluid has been pumped out. I've done this on other cars owned but not this one. It's important to know which line comes from the trans or else fluid goes everywhere.
Thx for the info.

I personally wouldnt do it (now). I literally just went through this about 2 months ago. "New" 07 had 104k with a little slip from 1st to 2nd. I took out about half, suspecting if I did a full flush that it would completely ruin it. Well, half was still too much because I could barely make it to the trans shop.
Its a well documented problem with these transmissions (many others as well). The problem is when your fluid starts getting the color that yours is, thats all the clutch material mixed with the fluid. If all your clutch material is in the fluid and you get rid of it... Im sure you get it.
What issues are you having that makes you consider a flush?
