not to hijack this thread but I also need an engine cover for my 04 Monte Carlo SS non supercharged car.... anyone have one or any ideas? local salvage yards here do not have one...

I have to sell the car and I was wondering if you still have the 2004 SS engine cover.
IT would really help me out, I amso unhappy GM made them take mine back when the recall order went out. Had I known they were going to keep it I would have blown off the recall. I understood the recall but not the part back deal! LEt me know if you still have it so I can make my friends wife happy.

There’s another on Ebay. To search I just type in 3800 series ii. A whole bunch will pop up

Dont fit Monte Carlos..the crooks at the deal-ships know this. iI will NEVER go the them EVER again. EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes , happened to me , and I betcha they steal is and put it up on eBay . I'm trying to find one for a 2000 monte SS and there hard to find the right one , do you know what the part number is ?

Here is a pic on the numbers on reverse of the cover. I have a couple that I would sell. This one here is the OEM looking one. My other is painted red etc. So this may be the one you would like. That is if you do not find another in your searches. What a weird part for them to pull from a customers car.
