2000 M/C SS 3.8L. I was just about home and all of the sudden, the engine started hesitating and CEL was flashing. Hooked the code reader up when i got home and got PO300 and PO440 to come up, Random misfire and Evap malfunction. Plugs and wires are good. Vapor canister was replaced a few years ago. Where should I start? and are the 2 codes related somehow or just a coincidence?

 

Probably a coincidence. Random misfires are tough to diagnose. Check fuel pressure, could be an ignition module issue or MAF... or anything in between.
