Default monte trans fix

Hi its been a while and just want to pass alone some good info to anyone still having trans gremlins. Had some issues with tranny in my 2000 ss for the past year or so, between 80 and 108k miles, it has take off shutter, max line pressure, wine sound, and lately it wont go in overdrive after a long drive sometimes on the highway. All problems happen at different times. So i finally changed the fuid and filter as a last ditch effort to correct the issues only i used type F to refill, this is the same stuff i use in my hotrod nova and took care of 90% of the issues. Hope this helps some of you aswell.

i doubt it was the fluid that made a difference but by installing a new unclogged filter is probably what helped. this wont be a permanent solution for sure.

You are right this isnt a permanent fix but will keep you going for a while, i used type f instead of the dextron 6 because f doesnt have any slipping modifiers and produces a firmer shift just like the b&m fuid and cheaper. Only cost $50 to try this.
