Exclamation Monte running really bad

Hi im Kyle, lots of issues have been going on with my 2000 Monte ss, today I was driving back from the parts store and it started acting funny then went away. then a mile later I got to the stop light and it was having a hard time trying to stay running then started moving and had the pedal to the floor and I was not gaining speed so then I pulled into the gas station it died as I was turning, so then I turned the key to off and then a minute later it started then died after 5 seconds of running. so I looked under the hood and everything looked ok so then I went to start it again and it did the same thing, so then I just turned the key to on and the fuel pump got really really quite so then I went out and kicked the gas tank a few times then went to start it and it was running just fine so then I was able to get the car home and it was still running just fine in the driveway and then I shut the car off for about a week my car has been starting hard and running like I have a nasty cam in it.....so please help me I have ran out of ideas

Check the fuel pressure. Check your fuses.

no check engine light?

how low where you on fuel when this is happening? since its not doing it at the moment, what is your current fuel level?

you may need a new fuel pump based off of what you said. it could just be an interment issue too. if your fuel level was low, its possible that the pump got hot one to many times and that time it just needed to stop and cool off.

i would say to rent a fuel pressure kit from oreilly's, costs $50 up front (i think) but you get it back when you return it.

you can also get one from harbor freight for $20 (or less if you have coupons)... Fuel Pressure Tester & Fuel Injection Pump Tester
