I need to know the weight of my 02 monte door because Im buying new shocks for my lambo doors, i dont want to put one thats too small and have the door fall on me. I took the shocks off the door and forgot
To prop the door so it came down fast and i tried to catch it and the door fell on my arm lol funny but i think it can definately kill someonenif it falls from a 90 degree angle. Im thinking of just buying 2 150lb shocks per door so 300lb a door...

Sorry I forgot to say that I have the weld on kit. I already have the doors installed (over a year) but the shocks went out, the shock you specified is for a bolt on kit which is too short. Im just trying to find out the weight of the Monte's door so I can make sure I dont get a shock that wont hold it.

 

Why not just ask the manufacturer of the kit what size shock they use and go a little heavier so it doesnt wear out as fast.

 

I dont know the manufacturer lol, i wish i did though. Whoever installed it spray painted the hinge part black completely covering any logos or whatever. But from the way that it looks, i think its a gt factory kit. Ill get my paint remover thingy and start scraping...

 

Ok so i found out that it is indeed a gt factory diablo kit and they come with 150lb and 250lb shocks, i guess ill put 1 250lb and 1 150lb on each door. I cant seem to find a number on their site :/
