Default monte don't want to start sometimes

Wow, yet another problem,,

This time my car doesn't want to start all the time.

About a week ago i noticed it did not want to start, i tried for 5 mins and i gave up, tried again a hour later and it started right up, it's been doing it about once every 3 days, i noticed if i wait a hour or two it usually starts.

Any ideas why?

Sorry for the question's, it appears my monte is just one big stress bomb and i kind of regret buying it now.

What year is it?

It could be the ignition switch

similar problem with Angela's 03 cavalier
Would ignition switch also cause stalling while driving ?
we already replaced fuel filter and fuel pump, but still intermittent stalling and not starting
wait awhile and fires right up.
sorry for asking about a non-monte

Sounds like the fuel pressure regulator....lots of problems with this thing around here lately it seems. If you have the 3400 engine here is how to replace it.

will look into that before throwing more parts at it, all shops think it is the ignition

Hi, i dont know if you have solved the problem but i can tell you that it is a combination of fuel pressure reg. the ignition and the spark plugs. i replaced everything but the ignition and it starts right up the biggest one is the regulator.
