Default Mass Air Flow Sensor for 2003 SS

I own a 2003 Monte Carlo SS. 3.8 liter. My engine light came on, and the analyzer at Auto Zone shows I need a Mass Air Flow Sensor (MAFS). Their price: For Duralast DL-3011 - $129.99. I still need to have it installed. Is there a less expensive MAFS that is reliable? Where would I go to buy one? How much would I pay? About how much would it cost to have a mechanic install it? I appreciate any help you can pass my way. Thank you.

thats a lot for a mafs. But its pretty simple to install. You can YouTube it. But there's no way auto zone should be selling it that high

i was wondering, does your car stall out? Mines will stall after the first 5-10 minutes of driving. It will start right back up and runs afterwards. Was wondering if its my MAFS

IMO I wouldnt cheap out on the MAF. I'd get another OEM replacement sensor and be done with it for the life of the car. Just seen too many people get bit trying to cheap out on this part.

Yes. It happens. I understand that is a symptom of a defective MAFS.
