Angry Lost of Power problem

Can anyone give me any ideas on why my 03' SS would lose power (electrical) and require a jump start after just sitting for a couple hours. I had a new BCM installed a couple days ago and installed a yellow top Optima battery this morning. Car started no problem after the battery install and returned about 5 hours later and the thing won't start. Place jumper cables on the battery and the thing fires right up. After a new Battery & BCM,

I'm at a lost at this point.. any ideas ..anyone????

You should check your alternator. Get a multimeter and check and see if the alternator is putting out power. I think it should be putting out 14.5 volts or amps I don't remember which unit.

Ok.. I had the alternator checked at the local auto zone.. read 14.59 volts on the machine. Unhook the amps in the car went to bed. Attempt to start the car in the morning..DEAD again! Required another jump start. I purchase one of those L.E.D. lights to replace the stock bulb in the dome light a few weeks ago..could this thing continue to draw that much power so by morning it would drain the battery? If this has been the cause of my grief.. a $14 light bulb, I'm going to Sh** myself!

Not the subs.. I unhooked those (amps) for now. I'm hoping the problem is just the defective L.E.D. lights. If I can remember correctly, one of the first symptoms I had which made me believe it was the BCM was the interior dome light not turning off.

I think the same thing Weber. A dome light should only draw approximately 0.06 volts. The light I had in their was one of those universal jobs and it seemed poorly constructed once I got it out of the packaging. It's probley wishful thinking on my part but I'm running out of options.

Question

Did you ever figure it out? i have an 01 SS and having the same symptoms; battery-good alternator-good but battery dies when it sits. i disconnected the neg battery terminal and hooked up my multimeter from the battery to the connector to see how many amps are being pulled with the car off and key out. it blew my multimeter which has a max of 500mA so there is way too much power being drawn with the car off. any ideas will help i'm disconnecting my battery every time i go some where (lol) until i can isolate the power draw.
