Hope I am posting this in the right place. New here. 2000 monte carlo 3.4 ltr, starts runs then when you shut off , wont starts almost sounds like its flooding. code comes up oxygen sensor, would that cause it to do that.. after the car sits it will start again, also has a short in the radio somewhere, speakers are not working . Any suggestions ?

It could be the front oxygen sensor (on the rear exhaust manifold) or a bad MAF sensor.

The 2 of them read and tell the computer the air/fuel ratio to use.

The reason that it doesn't happen during a cold start is because they are maxed out until the car gets up to operating temperature.

I'd go with this, too. When my upstream sensor went out I had some starting issues as well, until I replaced it.
