Yep, I know Tad. Wish I had planned better and knew I was highly interested in headers before I did the catback.

I need to figure out soon what I am going to do.

I want to know how big of a negative performance effect the 2.5'' piping vs 3'' piping will be. I follow what Will is saying but I need to know how bad it will be. Will it create a loss of top end power? Low end power?

Will, when you said "Magnaflow themselves state a 2.5" single supports a maximum recommended 350 flywheel" , are you saying that the LS4 could actually have been designed with a single exhaust and performed the same as it does with the design they used?

If so, why wouldnt a dual 2.5'' exhaust support this mod properly? Maybe you could give us some more theory.

Well upside is I am not too much into getting extra horsepower anymore at this point. Just thought the headers would look awesome and give a better tone.

Yes, I know you were more going for the better look. Let's see what happens --maybe you'll gain some power still but just not as much as if you had a 3''.

Problem is now is to find a quality performance shop that will put them in right. Have time yet though.

Muffler Man said they would do it pending looking at the instructions. But will they do it right? Flat out said it would be $300.00 (Best choice so far)

Mason Muffler and Brake said they would, but I didn't like the owner's conceited and over confident attitude, was kind of sarcastic. Would not quote me a price only that it would be $65.00/hour

Slugger told me he would ask around for me too

Called many more shops but they didn't want to touch a FWD header install

Instead of looking at muffler shops, do you have any performance shops in the area?

I would look for something like that first. Like the shop that helped me finish my CSC build and build me custom brackets and such. They do header installs daily, as well as other mods.

I usually recommend a muffler place just for a cat-back, if they are touching my engine, I want them to be a performance shop.

Heck, even asking ZZP could be an option for you. They are probably only about an hour away

Called ZZP they don't install BUT they gave reference to a place here in Lansing

Shop is called Enhanced performance

Turns out the owner (John) knows Gary Glenn the late artist that painted the Deuce

AND HE KNOWS THE DEUCE! He saw it at Gary's wake at the Olympic Broil here in Lansing - They are 17 miles away from me said I am looking at about $500 bucks for the install

I need to get the Deuce to him before he gets Busy (Within a Month) Means I have to pull her out of winter storage to get this done (He wants her for about a week)

Thanks Mike!
