I think (and hope) I've got a bad igntion switch, not a bad BCM, however I have one important question because my shop hates electrical they changed hands last year, they're experts on transmissions which is great an dthey kept one guy on, too - but they won't tear into an electrical system trying to diagnose, and I got locked out for a whole lot longer than ten minutes last Tuesday, I finally called Les Schwab (who knew I ws looking for the relearn, etcetera) and they were kind enough to give me a jumpstart anyway.

If i't a bad ignition switch, would jump starts even work???????

Thank you SO MUCH for any input. I've been reading threads all weekend and found the formal relearn procedure as well as all hte information about ingtiions switch vs BCM, too....
....and the crazy symptoms. O2 sensor was replaced by Matt one day before shop changed hands, Matt's still there, thank you.
