no 78% is not to high to paint it just mneans your paint will take forever to dry

But if you have a safe place to paint and a old fan you can paint it and se tthe fan int eh room with you as long as it wont blow stuff in to your paint it will help the dry time

Also think of this the slower the cure tiem on the paint most of the time the better it will stick

but watch out for flying things in teh wind also paint thin coats and go back and repaint them

hey i think the fan is going to help reduce a coat of paint i dont know why i didnt think of that last time but for some reason the diff humidity and fan helped it coat better and i let it dry twice as long inbetween coats

when i worked in thebod shop hehad made a box that was kind of like a sand blast cabint and hooked upa shop vac to i tocreat a down draft booth but small enough to use for small parts was a neat i dea and you could do the same hing with a cardbord box all you need is a vent on both ends and a hook up for your shop vac, just use cheese cloth for the filter on teh top of it so you keep the air comming in clean as you can

In high humidity situations, it is best to do more, lighter coats. And so long as you color sand between coats, dust/dirt and debris shouldn't be an issue.
