horn problem
Have a 98 Monte LS. Does the cancelling cam have anything to do with the horn? I just put in a new turn signal switch and noticed the cancelling cam had a little piece missing, as I was putting everything back together. I might have dorked it in the process of removing stuff. After I got everything back together, the horn didn't work. It worked before installing the new switch.
Thanks

It does have something to do with the horn. There's a little tube like thing (I don't know how else to describe it) on the cancel cam that protrutes into a hole in the base of the steering wheel. That's where the wire for the horn goes. The way it works is you insert and turn the horn wire (into the cancel cam) and it should lock in place. That tube on the cancel cam is flimsy. It will crack, and then the horn contact wire will not lock in place. Could be that's why you have no horn. The cancel cam is a cheap part if you need to replace it - like 5 bucks.
