Default Hmm... LOW COOLANT warning light is flickering.

So my Monte's low coolant warning light has started flickering lately, but the actual coolant level in the reservoir is right where it should be, and the temp gage hangs out in the lower third of its range, as it normally does.

The low coolant light comes on just for a second and goes out again, like a blink, about once every few minutes. So it's only a slightly annoying false alarm, but I wonder where it's coming from. Is there a coolant level sensor somewhere?

If you look near the radiator cap, you should see the sensor. They do get gummed up over time. I honestly just pulled the plug on mine. The light doesn't come on if it's not plugged in, and I keep a check on my fluids anyway.

That same thing went off on mine too.

So I check all the same stuff, I needed a flush anyway so I had the garage do that, and it went away after about 50 miles.
But now I noticed it came up again but the same thing. It must be a sensor going out.

Yep, unplugging the sensor did the trick. Looks like no other warning lights were tripped, either. Thanks for the tip, Chibi.
