high idle

Default high idle

So i replaced my throttle body and now it idles at like around 1200rpm's...has anyone else encounter the same problem after replacing the throttle body?? I need help asap cuz i need to pass smog test this month... Thanks fam appreciated...

You have an electronic TB, you might have messed up the TPS and it thinks it's open when it isn't. I think they have to be reprogrammed truthfully.

How can I reprogrammed it??? I just installed it didn't do anything but unscrew and screw back...

Did you clean the TB at all?

no i just replaced it with a new part... it failed the smog test with the old part.

Only thing I can think of, is that the sensor isn't reading right, and it might need a Tech-2 to actually plug in the new values.

So my brother in law took my ride to one of his buddies that works at the dealership and he reprogrammed and re-tune the MC and now it's running stronger than ever... Thanks chibi for your input and your info...

First time ever I replaced a throttle body like this one... good thing I got it cheap and my brother in law had the hook up at the dealership...
