If the car is going to be parked outside 100% of the time. Including winters. Here's what I'm wondering.

Epoxy... I've used epoxy before on various things over the years. It tends to get brittle, crack and let go. Wouldn't that happen even faster being outside in the elements 100% of the time?

Silicone... We use it at work on smooth surfaces indoors. Doesn't always stick too well on perfectly smooth surfaces. Like the painted channels in the roof of our Montes. If you used silicone on your roof rails or roof mouldings, how well is it holding up?

Auto Glass adhesive... This sounds promising. If I can find it, I'll definitely give it a shot. Might be overkill, but certainly better than losing your roof rails / roof mouldings and having to buy new ones.

Double sided moulding tape... Didn't hold up for me either. Hence the reason I searched the forum for alternatives. And yes, I thoroughly cleaned the channel before installation. Even used alcohol to remove any wax that may have gotten into the channel over the years.

Thanks for the feedback guys.

I used 90% rubbing alcohol and then I used emblem adhesive to install mine 2 years ago no problems . the good about the emblem adhesive is that they lock it down but still have some flexibility .
