Default Gorilla Glue

Well Im debadging the car. So far everything came of like butter on one side, but on the other and back, heres the problem. So whoever had the car before me must have lost or removed his badges. Ok thats fine put them back on with 3M tape right.... nope, had to use gorilla glue. So now i have a half layer thing of it and I cant get it off with 3M adhesive remover and paint thinner might hurt the paint. Any ideas, Im stuck with a monte carlo ss on one side made of glue... And when i pulled the back ones off it took paint.

Well, if 3M adhesive remover didn't work I don't think goo gone will work either. Bug and tar remove might not be strong enough either. But, there is this stuff made by PPG called Acryli-Clean DX330. You can get it at any auto parts paint store. You might be able to find it on the web too.

Cool : (

Brock, Been there, done that I would try 2 get the product that Amy suggested. You can also check with body shops in your area for their suggestions. Once you use that product. Try clay bar & a find polish. Post pic's if you can. Hopefully, we learn as we travel our `journey. I had some pretty expensive lessons : ) Keep us updated on your resolve. Good Luck from `Space

Try some acetone (super glue remover). It's in nail polish remover, also, but not as strong. Can't guarantee it'll work, but it's worth a try. Did you try using dental floss?

Also, there is a 3M trim adhesive in a tube that I would try next time. Gorilla glue expands too much.

Perhaps these products in conjunction with a hair dryer might help a bit. I'm sorry to hear about your problem.

This stuff. Omg. I think they did something amazing to it enough so its impossible. Ok so i tried paint stripper. Yep, the glue stayed, wore down paint around the glue.....
So I sanded it. Took me an hour with 100 grit sand paper to get it remotly smooth, and Im almost down to bare metal, but theres still glue bumps left. Im going to find the last owner and kick the living crap out of him for doing this, drilling holes in the back c-pillar covers (wtf lol) and selling it with a **** transmission. Seriously how absolutely metal do you have to be to use dumb crap like that. I mean I might have, when I was 3...

*end rant*
