sometimes the wires themselves corrode inside the wire loom as well. Also, the suffering feeling when u got the brakes is probably the ABS kicking in. That's usually a side effect of the bad wire or hub.
Ive diag. n repaired this exact same scenario on multiple gm vehicles...Rendezvous', any W body, ect

had this same problem and when i looked, the wire connecting my right front Wheel speed sensor had completely snapped in half. So i had that replaced and it still did it, just less frequently. Then a member here suggested i clean my throttle body, since it is connected to a lot of the traction control system. I was skeptical at first, but I ended up cleaning it out when i had to replace a MAF sensor and i havent had that problem in about 6 months.

So far it didnt come back yet. it may have been dirt since i found out the previous owner changed the front hubs before he sold it. maybe ill get lucky and that cleaner fixed it. if not im changing the hub and if that doesnt fix it then im changing the entire harness to it

Alright so i have 1 more question about these sensors. Can they mess around with the transmission as well? Like ill be driving at about 40mph and the rpms will be at like 2k and then if i put my foot down itll jump to about 2 1/4 rpms the back to 2k and if i put my foot further down it downshifts by 2 gears and jumps to 3500 revs. Ive never noticed my car do that before this abs stuff happened. Can this be caused by my abs sensor being screwed up or am i just being paranoid and this is normal?
